The Loonse and Drunense Duinen encompass about 3500 hectare and consist of pine forests and drift sand areas, hence the term ‘dunes’. You can make beautiful bicycle tours and hikes through heaths and pine forests in this vast nature area. You’ll see various frogs and salamanders, among others, and with a bit of luck you could encounter a badger.
