Walk the Vughtse Heide

In earlier centuries, Vught was often the battlefield of attacks on ’s-Hertogenbosch. Discover the three lunettes built in the 19th century on the Vughtse Heide to counter an attack from the young Belgium. Walk the forest paths along the moats of these fortifications. You will also pass by Kamp Vught. Through forests, you reach the last piece of real heath. On the Loonsebaan, there is a group of sculptures of two fighting knights on horseback that reminds of the last medieval knight battle in 1600 on the Vughtse Heide.
