It all began in 1939, when Martinus van der Valk opened a simple café in Voorschoten. Through hard work and a welcoming, homely approach, the family business quickly grew into a success. This formed the foundation for one of the most renowned hospitality companies in the Netherlands, where hospitality and familiarity have been central for generations.

The family worked diligently together and, with the help of their twelve children, gradually built several restaurants and hotels throughout the Netherlands. Each establishment developed its own character, but always with the trusted Van der Valk values ​​at its core.

In 1954, this family tradition also took shape in Brabant with the opening of the Van der Valk Hotel 's-Hertogenbosch-Vught, still known in the region as "De Witte" (The White).

Now, more than 72 years later, the hotel has become a trusted fixture in the region, where tradition, innovation, and Brabant hospitality converge.
