Activities near Hotel Vught

1. National Monument Camp Vught

The former SS Camp, Kamp Vught, from the Second World War is an impressive excursion where you get an impression of the terrible history that took place here. On the site, you will find, among other things, the original moat, barbed wire, and the crematorium. A visit that is sure to give you goosebumps.

2. Nature reserve De Moerputten

Put on your hiking boots and go for a walk in Moerputten Nature Reserve. The nature reserve consists of three walking routes and features peat bog, special flora and fauna, and open water. The blue route (Halve Zolenpad) is particularly recommended. On this route, you will partially walk on a boardwalk through the peat bog. In addition, children can entertain themselves at the specially designed play area.

3. The Binnendieze

In Den Bosch, you will find the Binnendieze. These small streams and tributaries flow through the city and converge into the River Dommel. A day in Den Bosch is not complete without a boat tour on the Binnendieze. You sail right in the middle of the city and sail under historic houses and bridges. Highly recommended!

4. Efteling

Only 26 kilometers from Van der Valk Hotel Vught lies the Efteling. The perfect opportunity for a day out with the family.

5. Noordbrabants Museum

Once in Brabant, a visit to the Het Noordbrabants Museum is a must. Discover the art, history, and culture of Brabant and view the original paintings of Van Gogh.

6. Jump XL

In the mood for something active? Go crazy and head to Jump XL in Oisterwijk. You can be there in 21 minutes by car and fun is guaranteed. This trampoline park is fun for both young and old.

7. Drunense Dunes

Completely unwind? That is possible in the Loonse and Drunense Duinen. Imagine yourself in South Africa and walk through one of the largest drifting sand areas of Western Europe. The constantly changing landscape provides a unique experience in nature.

8. St. John's Cathedral

Visit one of the best-maintained monuments in the Netherlands, the St. John's Cathedral in Den Bosch! A visit to this Gothic basilica is highly recommended. It is possible to visit the cathedral briefly or book a guided tour.

9. Alpacafarm Vorstenbosch

Have you always wanted to walk with alpacas? At Alpacafarm Vorstenbosch, it's possible! Visit the alpaca farm with the kids for a fun time. The farm is open every weekend and admission is free. To take a walk with the alpacas, you can register in advance, and it costs €20 per person.

10. Fitness Club Vught

Of course, there is plenty to experience in our own hotel as well. Put on your sportswear and dive into the gym for a good workout. Hotel guests can use our fitness facility for free.
