Van der Valk Hotel 's-Hertogenbosch - Vught has 3 Jeu de Boules courts. A Jeu de Boules session is booked by the hour. Boules can be collected at the reception. For hotel guests, Jeu de Boules is free.

We recommend playing with a maximum of 6 people per court. If you are with more people, we recommend reserving multiple courts.

Game rules Jeu de Boules

• The throw is made from the throwing circle. Both of the player's feet must be in the circle.

• The novice player throws the jack.

• The first player tries to throw the boule as close as possible to the jack.

• Now it's the opponent's turn. They try to throw a boule closer to the jack. This can be done by throwing a boule closer, or by knocking an opponent's boule away.

  • If that works, then it's the other team's turn again.

  • If that doesn't work, the same team may continue throwing until it does. When all your balls have been thrown, it's the opposing team's turn.

• When all the boules have been played, the winning team gets as many points as the number of balls that are closer to the jack than the opponent's best boule.

• The team that won the previous throwing round may start the new throwing round. The throwing circle is placed again.

• The team which has achieved 13 points first is the winner.

• If during the game the jack goes outside the playing area, the round is replayed.
